Volunteer Sign-up
The YMCA is a volunteer organization, without volunteers we just simply won’t be here!
Thank you for your interest in getting involved as a volunteer for the YMCA. We have a variety of ways for you to get involved please pick from the options below so we can best target your engagement. After we have received your application a YMCA Director or Coordinator will reach out to you soon to discuss volunteering with the YMCA!
All volunteers must pass a reference check and adult volunteers must pass a criminal background check and sexual registry screening.
Camp Program
The Camp Somewhere programs are looking for a variety of volunteers to support both our day and overnight programs.
Positions Available:
- Camp Counselor (day or overnight)
- Special Activity Instructor
- Registered Nurse (with certification)
- Back Country Guides for wilderness trips (with experience and/or certification)

Special Event Volunteer (Pear Blossom Run, Healthy Kids Day, Family Night, etc.)
We have a variety of special events thru out the year. Special Event volunteers typical provide their service for just a single day or a short term period.

Youth Sports - Basketball
Current positions we are seeking to fill:
1st-2nd Grade Team Coach / Assistant Coach
Is a weekly commitment of 2.5 hours a week. This commitment includes a 1-hour practice followed directly by a game on Saturdays.
3rd-4th Grade Team Coach / Assistant Coach
Is a weekly commitment of 2-3 hours a week. This commitment includes hosting one 1-hour practices scheduled around your other commitments and a Saturday game (some weekends may include a doubleheader).
5th-6th Grade Team Coach / Assistant Coach
Is a weekly commitment of 3-4 hours a week. This commitment includes hosting two 1-hour practices scheduled around your other commitments and a Saturday game (some weekends may include a doubleheader).
Referee
Is a weekly commitment of 1.5 to 8 hours a week. This commitment takes place on Saturdays.
Team Parent
Is a weekly commitment of .5 to 3 hours a week. This commitment includes supporting the volunteer coach with things such as; contacting players & families, helping with practice, or helping during the game.
